2002 Water quality parameters for these sites are typically within previously established ranges. At site 800
(Table 39) new maximum values were recorded for lab conductivity, TDS, and sulfate. At site (Table 41) a new
maximum value was recorded for dissolved sodium.
Fish Creek: Seven surface flow monitoring sites on Fish Creek aze utilized. Site 16A replaced site 16 in 2000,
and is located upstream of the Fish Creek Borehole dischazge site (11S). Historical data for site 16 may be found
in previous AHRs. Site 307 is located approximately 1 mile downstream of the Fish Creek Borehole mine
dewatering site and is monitored in conjunction with alluvial we11006-AZ-3. Site 302 is located approximately 2
miles downstream of the Fish Creek Borehole mine dewatering site. Site 1002 is located approximately 4 miles
downstream of the Fish Creek Borehole mine dewatering site and is monitored in conjunction with alluvial we]]
006-AW-2. Site 305 is located upstream of the Fish Creek Tipple and is monitored in conjunction with alluvial
well 008-AU-3. Site 27A is located neaz the Fish Creek Tipple. Site 1003 is located downstream of the Fish
Creek Tipple. Monitoring requirements at sites 307 and site 305 aze limited to monthly water levels and semi-
annual field pazameters (During March through September period). Three new surface sites have been added in
conjunction with new Fish Creek Alluvium well sites AVF-13, AVF-14, and AVF-15. These aze surface sites
SW-13 and SW-14 (added in August 2001), and SW-15 (added in June 2002), respectively.
Tables 44 through 50 provide summaries of the 2002 Water Yeaz data collected at Fish Creek surface flow sites.
Tables 44A through 48A provide period of record statistical summaries of collected data at each site. Figures 58,
6Q 62, and 82 through 101 provide graphical representations of water levels and selected water quality
• parameters recorded at each site. Again, typical flow patterns were exhibited at these sites with spring runoff
periods accounting for the peak flows observed, although it should be noted that due to drought conditions,
typical flows appeazed to be reduced. Surface ponding (as a result of subsidence over the 13 RT panel), coupled
with drought conditions, resulted in lower than normal flows and the temporary cessation of flow aY sites
downstream of site SW-13 during the summer. These included sites 1002, SW-14, SW-15, 27A, and 1003. In
general, an inverse relationship between flow and field conductivity was evident. 2002 Water quality parameters
for these sites are within previously established ranges. At site 16A (Table 44) some new maximum and
minimum values were recorded for tested parameters in 2002. Note that this is a relatively new site. hi
comparison with values from former site 16, none of these values fell significantly outside the typical historical
range. At site 302 (Table 45) no new minimum or maximum values were recorded. At site 27A (Table 47) a
new maximum value was recorded for dissolved sodium. The data base for new surface sites SW-13, SW-14,
and SW-15 will need to be expanded before maximum and minimum values can be evaluated. However, none of
the values recorded during the initial sampling episode fell outside the typical historical range of other surface
sites on Fish Creek.
Trout Creek: Three surface flow monitoring sites on Trout Creek aze utilized. Site 301 is located on Trout
Creek above the confluence with Middle Creek. Site 69 is located on Trout Creek below the confluence with
Middle Creek. Site 1005 (established in 1994} is located downstream of the confluence with Fish Creek and is
monitored in conjunction with alluvial well 008-AT-1.
• Tables 51 through 53 provide summaries of the 2002 Water Year data collected at Trout Creek surface flow sites.
Tables 51A and 53A provide period of record statistical summaries of collected data at sites 301, 69, and 1005.
11
