RECEIVED
OCT 2 0 2006
Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
ANNUAL REPORT
Operator:
United Companies of Mesa County
- -- --L-ocation:-- -- -- Railhead Pit" - -`
File Number:
Anniversary Date:
M-1995-036
October 19, 2006
Railhead was active this year for processing, and stockpiling of sand and gravel products.
Part of the site is used For storage of concrete and asphalt rubble. Once a year a United
Companies crusher crushes both of these products into reusable products. The concrete is
recycled as a very good quality road base for driveways. The crushed asphalt is recycled
through our asphalt plant and goes back to use in asphalt roadways.
Weed management, including weed burning, continues at this location. Spraying for
weeds takes place twice a year as does treatment for tamarisk.
This spring we used part of the open area for asphalt plant storage until the construction
spring season of 2006 started.
~' ~ , `~~~
~5~
OC'+, 17~z°O ~
