,, <br />MINREC, rNC. <br />NORTH THOMPSON CREEK MINES <br />2.04.13 <br />1998 Annual Reclamation Report <br />(a) Perntittee: <br />Minrec, Inc. <br />2768 Compass Drive, Suite 101 <br />Grand Junction, CO 81506 <br />Permit No. C-81-025 <br />(b) The No. 1 Mine portals, a small topsoil stockpile and a fill stockpile were disturbed <br />during the year. <br />(c) The No. 1 Mine portals were backfilled during October 1998. Both the portal and air <br />shaft were covered. A 36-inch diameter CMP was buried in the backfill to provide <br />access to the flooded air shaft. <br />(d) A small topsoil stockpile was spread over the backfilled mine portals. <br />(e) The areas disturbed during 1988 were seeded during the year. The mine sites were <br />sprayed to control thistle during the year. Weed control was performed in accordance <br />with the permit application page 4-66. The following seed mix was utilized on the <br />disturbed areas: <br />North Thompson Creek Mine <br />Elymus junceus <br />A!opecuris pratensis <br />Agropyron trachycaulum <br />Oryzopsis hymenoides <br />Russian Wildrye <br />~Nestem (oxtail <br />Slender wheatgrass <br />Indian ricegrass <br />#PLS <br />8.0 <br />4.0 <br />6.5 <br />6.5 <br />Total 25.0 <br />(f) The disturbed areas associated with the North Thompson Creek Mines were <br />reclaimed during 1986 and 1987. In the fall of 1986 the refuse pile was seeded and <br />mulched. In the fall of 1987 the remainder of the mine site was seeded and mulched <br />and the unit train loadout was seeded. Following is a table which shows the location, <br />number of acres and date of planting for all previously revegetated areas. All seeding <br />was done in the fall of the year. <br />
