FAX (970) 663-2315 ~ -
September 1, 2004
Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman St., Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Re: Annual Report for Permit No. M-1985-212

Dear Minerals and Geology:
Below is a summary of reclamation efforts over the past year for the above entitled
permit.
Only original quarries have been mined over the past year. No new quarries or pits have
been opened. Over the past year, approximately 60,000 tons of waste material has been
reclaimed. Instead of pushing this material over the edge of the hill and into gullies; it
has been hauled to"a centralized storage area where it was screened and classified
according to the State of Colorado standards. This material is referred to as "rip rap" and
is a sellable product. The pink areas on the enclosed map indicate from where the waste
material was removed.
Of these 60,000 tons of waste material, approximately 40,000 tons of rip rap has been
screened out. Enclosed is our specification sheet of the rip rap for which we have already
begun receiving orders. The yellow areas on the map indicate where the material is
presently being stored. Approximately 20,000 tons of the waste material consists of
smaller rdcks and dirt. The green area on the map indicates where this material is
presently being stored. Our plan is to re-screen this material and create two more
classifications of sellable rip rap. At this time, clean up and potential sale of rip iap will
allow us to continue mining existing quarries instead of opening up new ones.
So far this year, no re-seeding has been done to date. If you have any questions regazding
the above or enclosed materials, please do not hesitate to contact me on my cell phone at
970.481.4245.
Si~ncer0ely,~.
/~~"` / y
Ned Sprague
General Manager
