Dear Barbara:
Enclosed is the Annual Report for the past year for Montgomery Pit, including map and
report form. Past records show that the annual date for the pit is May 24 of each year.
The financial warranty for the permit is $20,500 and the total permit area is 46.08
acres. The mining and reclamation plan has three phases.
The following information is provided to comply with Rule 2.4.1:
(1) No acres of new disturbance occurred in the past year and only minor mining
continued in the south central part of the permit area as shown on the enclosed annual
report map. All of this area has now been mined out. New sumps have been installed
on the western portion of the permit and a new wash plant will be operated in this
area. Many tanks have been removed from the site and some new ones have been
added. The old asphalt plant in the central portion of the permit area will be
dismantled and removed from the site.
(2) Backfilling and final grading has began on the south central and south west portion
of the permit area although final slopes have not yet been achieved. Berms have been
