The specific testing to be performed will be in general accordance with
the recommendations outlined in the °Guide to Specfication Preparation for Slung Walls
and Clay Liners as a Component of a Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Permit prepared
by DMG dated September, 2000. The report gives a general outline of the specfc tests to
tie performed, testing frequency, and other design criteria.
In general, a minimum of 10% of the frequency of testing to be performed by GEO-CON will
be performed by Terracon unless a higher frequency is determined to be necessary or
requested by the owner. The total number of tests to be performed will be determined
based on the construction schedule and the number of crews working during the
construction of the project.
At a minimum, the following tests/observations will be performed during construction of the
slurry wall:
1. Trench Depth and Key
Measurement of the trench depth to verify compliance with slurry wall
design specifications/assumptions
Observation and collection of samples of the bedrock key material to
verify that the appropriate bedrock key material has been penetrated
•
Delivering Success for Clients and Employees Since 7965
More Than 80 Offices Nationwide
