Antidegradation CWCC <br />regulations <br />The Edna Mine is not subject to the Antidegradation Rule because the receiving waters, <br />Rule for Surface 3.1.9(2) and yes Segment 13c in Region 12 of the Yampa River basin, are designated "Use-Protected". <br />Water <br />3.3.0. <br /> Ground water in the Trout Creek alluvium is the only ground water that could be adversely <br /> affected by the Edna Mine. (Bedrock aquifers that abut spoil backfill probably are too <br /> impermeable to transmit leachate.) Edna monitors alluvial water quality in two <br /> downstream alluvial wells, TR-3 and TR-4. Data from both wells indicate mining has not <br /> caused adverse impacts to the quality of ground water at these locations.
