Annual Report; Permit No. 77-315
Gentlemen:
Best-Way Paving Co, submits the following information concerning its mining
and reclamation activities for the year 1984:
1. The Company completed extraction of gravel in Phases 2 and 3 of the
mining plan and approximately 25% of Phases 4 and 5, affecting approx-
imately 6.5 acres. Phase 1 is approximately three-fourths extracted and
bac}:filled.
2. Phases 2 and 3 are backfilled, however topsoil needs to be added and the
areas brought to grade in accordance with the mining plan, which should be
completed this season.
3. No internal reclamation beyond the backfilling, topsoil and grade work has
been completed, therefore there has been no planting of any vegetation.
This will probably begin in the spring or summer of 1986.
4. Although it is not possible to determine at this point, it is anticipated
that Phases 4 and 5 will be extracted, or nearly extracted, by the end of
the 1985 season.
If any additional information is required, please let us know.
Very truly yours,
66xj' V/, Jr.
President
TAC/cnd
