-• ~ - -
Monitoring of numerous coal seam, alluvial, and refuse piezometers
has been discontinued. Jim Stover has expressed an interest in
reclaiming and abandoning these wells, possibly in the 1996 field
season. The mine will be eligible for final bond release in the
summer of 1999. In her January 25, 1995 letter, Christine Johnston
indicated that Coal Seam Piezometers D-1, D-2, D-3, E-2, and F-1
would be approved for abandonment and reclamation. Do we concur?
Would additional wells be eligible for abandonment and reclamation
at this time, or should they be maintained for possible future use?
Should monitoring of any of the currently terminated wells be re-
initated for bond release demonstration purposes prior to 1999?
That is all. Let me know if you have any questions.
c:\03495ahr.dtm
