• MINREC, INC. ANNUAL HYDROLOGIC REPORT PAGE 3
A table of the No. 3 Mine water level measurements and a graph which shows the increase
and decrease in water level over time are presented in Appendix III. The water level in the
mine is measured through a monitoring hole which penetrates the mine opening. The
water level in the mine was basically stable during 2000.
MINE WATER DUALITY
The discharge from the No. 3 Mine and No. 1 Mine were combined on August 11, 1995.
The average flow measurements from the No. 3 Mine (Outfall 007) for the period 1990
through 1994 is summarized below.
N0. 3 MINE DISCHARGE
Year 1990 1991 1992 1993 1994
Flow m 6.7 6.8 5.5 10.4 8.0
Water from the No.i Mine and No. 3 Mine continue to be treated by the passive water
treatment system. The quality of the discharge is presented in a table in Appendix IV. The
• quality of the discharge from the mines showed some variation from last year. The
average flow and TDS decreased and conductivity increased during the year.
The following table presents arithmetic averages of flow and quality measurements taken
at Outfall 001. Outfall 001 is the discharge point for the passive water treatment system.
As of August 11, 1995, the discharge from Outfall 001 is the combined discharge from the
No. 1 Mine and the No. 3 Mine.
•
OUTFACE 001 -QUALITY
YEAR Flow Max Flow Ave H COND TDS IRON
__ 1989__ _____43.0 __ ____16 :5 __ ____ 7 _9 __ __3598 _ __ 2512 _ ____ 1_51
__ 1990__ ____ 30.0__ ____17.0__ ____8.1___ __ 3157 _ ___2129 _ ____1,16_
__ 1991__ ____ 30.3__ __ _20.1___ ____8.1___ __2890 _ __ 2018__ ____1_28
1992
---------- 27.7
------------ 19.3
----------- 8.0
---------- 2722
---------- 1805
---------- 0.72
----------
1993
---------- 27.9
------------ 22.4
----------- 7.9
---------- 2643
---------- 1738
---------- 0.54
----------
1994 21.6 21.2 7.6 2627 1710 0.52
1995 75.2* 32.5 7.8 2435 1663 0.17
