~/~ Kennecott <br />~ .Energy Memorandum <br />• Coloruyo Coal Company L.P. <br />FOR: Steve Hirtkmeyer <br />Nest Pit Fill Construction Report <br />April 14, 1999 <br />On Mazch 2~, 1999 I inspected the azea in which the West Pit Excess Spoil Fill is being <br />constructed. The purpose of these inspections is to verify proper construction of the West Pit <br />Excess Spoil Fill according to the requirements of Permit C-81-019 and fulfill the CDMG Rule <br />4.09.1(1 la). <br />During the Quarter approximately 800,000 CY was placed on the 7375, 7425, and 7450 dumps. <br />Reclamation grade backfill will still be required on the out-slope of these benches and they will <br />also require grading to meet the 3: l post mining topography. No other activity occurred on West <br />Pit Excess Spoil Fill. <br />• Attached to this report is my certification that all construction requirements have been met thus <br />far in constructing the West Pit Excess Spoil Fitl during this quarter. <br />~~ <br />Brtan K.
