Hidden Valley Pit
MLR No. M-98-024 Tax I.D.#
Dear Jim:
Enclosed is the Annual Report for the past year for The Hidden Valley Pit of B&B
Excavating, Inc., including map and report form. Past records show that the annual
date for the pit is August 3 of each yeaz. The financial warranty for the permit is
$83,155 and the total permit area is 183.6 acres. Eagle County has permitted the full
operation so now the DRMS permit exactly coincides with the Eagle County Special
Use permit. The former operation azea was limited to 29.2 acres as shown on the
enclosed map. The mining and reclamation plan is phased.
The following information is provided to comply with Rule 2.4.1:
(1) Mining did take place in the previous year as was planned within 10.0 acres of the
permit area. See attached Annual Report Map. Approximately 2.0 new acres were
mined in the past year and 3.0 acres of total new disturbance occurred on site. The total
current disturbance is 22.6 acres. The excavated pit and some stockpiles do exist on
site. All topsoil and overburden has been stripped and placed in berms around the pit as
planned in the permit. In addition, the existing disturbance consists of the access road,
sediment sump, a truck scale and scale house/office trailer has been set up as shown on
Pbone:(303)346-5196 Fa: (303}346-6934
E-Mail: greg@lewicki.biz
