Drawer L
Fruita, Colorado 81521
Re: Annual Hydrology Reports - McClane and Munger Canyon Mines - File Nos.
C-80-004 and C-81-020
Dear Mr. Walters:
The Division has completed_ its' review of the above reference reports received
by the Division on May 2, 1985. The following recommendations should be taken
into consideration in preparing future annual water reports for the McClane
Canyon and Munger Canyon mining operations:
Discharge and quality data from East Salt Creek should be reported so that the
impact, if any, from mine discharges may be more accurately assessed;
depth-to-water and applicable water quality parameters from wells should be
reported;
a short discourse comparing baseline to recently collected data; and an
analysis of impacts, if any, to the ground surface water systems should be
included in the report;
projections of probable impacts from mine dewatering to the local aquifer
systems (alluvial and bedrock) should be provided.
If you have any questions regarding the Division's recommendations, please
contact Steve Renner of our office.
Sincerely,
y ~ ~.o .~~
Tom Gillis
Reclamation Specialist
TG/vjr
5540E -
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
