Salt Creek AHR 3 December 3, 1985
NPDES
The NPDES records for Munger and McClane for the first quarter of 1985 were
submitted with the AHR.
There were no reported discharges from the six NPDES points at Munger Canyon
(CDOH Permit No. CO-0040827).
McClane Canyon reported discharge from point 002 (CDOH Permit No.
CO-0038342). During the reporting period, an average of 34,629 gallons per
day (while pumping) were discharged from the mine thru the 002 point. All
discharges were within the permit quality requirements.
Recommendations
My Recommendations for further AHR's are as follows:
Report discharge and quality data from East Salt Creek so that the impact, if
any, from mine discharges may be more accurately assessed.
Report depth-to-water and applicable water quality parameters from wells.
A short discourse comparing baseline to recently collected data; and an
analysis of impacts, if any, to the ground and surface water systems.
Projections of probable impacts from mine dewatering to the local aquifer
systems (alluvial and bedrock).
srs
5444E
