Muscovite and Sericite were <br />distinguished petrographically based on grain size. Sericite frequently grades into a <br />second type of Sericite which is medium brown and is tentatively identified as phengite. <br />SEM analyses indicate the presence of K, Ca, Si, Al, and Fe in this mineral. <br />
