The month of August~6rought heavy <br />rains and flash flood conditions. Approximately 25% of the seedlings <br />planted this summer were lost under soil deposition caused by heavy <br />rains. <br />Ho~•rever the remaining seedlings look good. Many show substantial <br />new growth, ecspecially the Fourwing Saltbush, Fringed Sage and Sumac. <br />Much of the Fringed Sage is already producing seed, <br />The dairy -~:.nure used in the pl_nting medium is partially decem- <br />po~cd end resembles humus.
