APPROXIMATE ACREAGE TO BE RECLAIMED IN NEXT REPORT YEAR: 7.0 Mining during the report year continued on this permit site in Area 3, where it was completed for mining and in Area 4, that was also completed for mining. Re-naming of the mining areas is due to approval of expansion amendment AM-3 in 2004. Please refer to the attached Annual Report Map. Overburden from these areas was placed into the existing area of overburden placement against the pit side on the western edge of the pit. Mining continued into the new amendment azea (Area 4) to the south and was completed. No seeding or revegetation was implemented on this permit site, as the overburden stockpiles aze in various stages of disturbance with the addition and subtraction of material. Backfill along the pit-side of the high-water mark of the South Platte River in Area 1 is the only reclamation activity that occurred on this permit during the reporting yeaz. Mining during the next reporting year will continue in Area 1 to the south and southwest, in the area of the current plant site, to the approved limits of mining. The gravel plant operation will be moved into the current pit floor just to the north of where the plant is now. Reclamation during the next reporting year should be implemented as revegetation on the lower bench (Area 2) and will be completed in this area.
