Boettcher CKD Site <br />The CKD site was closed during the last two weeks of August 2002 and all of <br />the exposed CKD was covered with a minimum of 2 feet of clean fill from <br />overburden stripping piles. The entire cut was filled and the coverage graded for <br />drainage away from the fill area. The area is ready for placement of top soil. <br />The Ft Collins Cement Plant was closed on August 30, 2002, no CKD is being <br />produced. <br />Wildlife Monitoring Report <br />No carcasses were observed, and no observations of wildlife irr the vicinity of the <br />CKD disposal site were rew:ded during the period October i~, 2002 through <br />September 15, 2003. Because the entire C KD site has been covered and there <br />is no more exposed CKD or high pH pond, we have stopped maintaining a <br />constant wildlife monitoring log. <br />
