Enclosed with this cover letter summarizing site activities during the <br />year ending September 29, 2003, are: (1) a signed DMG "ANNUAL FEE and <br />REPORT REQUEST" form; (2) a check for $688.00 for the annual fee due on or <br />before September 29, 2003; and (3) a hydrograph for recently installed site <br />piezometers; and (4) a map depicting site mining and reclamation activities for the <br />reporting year. We have included the map in both 11"x17" and 22"x34" format <br />for your convenience. <br />During the report year mining activity occurred as continued clean-up re-mining <br />within Phase 3A, and through deepening and expansion of Phase 5 as per Exhibit <br />D -Mining Plan Map in the permit and amendments, and as shown on the <br />attached Annual Report Map. Other site activities and improvements included (1) <br />mowing and re-seeding of previously reclaimed areas along the east third of the <br />northern boundary and northern third of the eastern boundary; (2) considerable <br />additional new slope reclamation along the northern boundary and by extending <br />the berm between future water storage Cells No.l and No. 2; (3) final clean-up of <br />historic site debris and abandoned equipment in the northwest part of the site; (4) <br />restoration of a Fulton Ditch lateral to deliver augmentation water to the northeast <br />corner of the site; and (5) construction of an 1 I-ft-high concrete barrier wall <br />between the adjacent off-site concrete plant and the new Platte River Ranch <br />development that exists east of the site. <br />2329 West Main Street <br />Suite 201 <br />Littleton, CO 80120 <br />303.703.1405 <br />fax 303.703.1404 <br />wvnv. brierleyassociates. com <br />
