Tk~is in turn, would reduce competition for moisture <br />and produce fewer but larger plants more quickly. <br />On the whole, the technique has been a great success <br />in the first year, but next year will be the acid test. We anticipate <br />several plants will die as the stronger individuals dominate. It <br />is doubtful the final result would be any different with less <br />seed and fertilizer, although the cost of the process would be <br />reduced a very small amount because the primary cost is labor, not <br />seed and fertilizer. <br />Rule 2.41 (7): In the coming year Castle Concrete Company does <br />not anticipate any significant changes in the demand for the <br />product produced from this operation. Therefore, it is anticipated <br />1± 0.5 acres will be additionally affected in the next year. <br />This will raise the total acreage affected to about 16 to 17 acres. <br />In the event demand for the product does increase as the <br />economic recession reverses direction then it may well be that as <br />much as 1.5 to 2.0 acres will be affected. This would, in effect, <br />allow the operation to catch up with the timetable. <br />The additional land to be affected will be on the west <br />side and will proceed into the extreme eastern portions of Tract <br />C. <br />Map - No map is included with this report. The map found as <br />Exhibit A to 1979 Annual Report is incorporated herein.
