Energy Fuels Coal, Inc. Southfield Mine - 2004 Annual Hydrology Report April 5, 2005
Standard but not the Agricultural Standard;
• Manganese, dissolved - MW-65 exceeded the Secondary Drinking Water Standard but not
the Agricultural Standard; and
• Sulfate - MW-16 exceeded the Secondary Drinking Water Standard (There is no
Agricultural Standazd)
The current and historical data indicates that no significant ground water impacts have occurred as a
result of mining and related activities. It is anticipated that ongoing monitoring will allow
identification of any variances in water quality that may represent long-term trends.
3.1.2 Loadout Area
In the Loadout Area, ground water occurs primarily in alluvial colluvial deposits in and adjacent to
the Oak Creek floodplain. Due to limited surface and ground water flows and recharge and the
character of the alluvial/colluvial deposits, these deposits do not appeaz to store or transmit
significant quantities of water, as indicated by the lack of sub-imgation (refer to Section 2.04.7 of
the Southfield Mining and Reclamation Plan document for more details). Because the
alluvial/colluvial deposits associated with Oak Creek do not represent a significant ground water
source or aquifer, there is not ongoing ground water monitoring in the Loadout Area or immediate
vicinity.
3.2 Monitoring Well Inspections
Depth and general condition of monitoring wells are checked each time the wells are monitored.
EFCI replaced several well caps in 2001/2002 to assure ongoing access control and prevent any
surface-sourced contamination.
641)/2004 annualhydrptdoc NWCC INC.
