SURVEYING & INSPECTION <br />801 CHESTNUT ST. rnonelsosleae-enl <br />~icQ.H3ldX RStt <br />TRINIDAD, COLORADO 81082 <br />INSPECTION REPORT <br />EMBANKMENT OF HIGHWALL AREA <br />DATE OF INSPECTION: May 20, 1994 <br />IDENTIFICATION: Removal of the Primary Waste Disposal & Embankment of the <br />Highwall Area. <br />LOCATION: Sec. 36, T33s, R64W, 6th P.M. <br />Las Animas County, Colorado <br />COMMENTS: This inspection was made as per 4.09.1(11)(1)(4) of the General <br />Requirements. The embankment material was hauled from the waste area to <br />the highwall fill area and placed to required grade. This operation was <br />completed as required. Inspected to the completed grade and proper slope <br />prior to the beginning of the placement of the cap material. Cap material <br />obtained within site area having more suitable soils for vegetation growth. <br />The placement of materialin embankment areais as per specification. Comp- <br />action testing, as previously witnessed, by Lincoln De Vore Inc. shows <br />tests no.1 thru 19 all within the required 90~ compaction specification. <br />Method of placement is same as previously reported and continues as per <br />specification. <br />Drainage of the highwall embankment area is controlled by meeting the <br />grade of the undisturbed contour drainage above.
