September 17, 2004
Arkins Park Stone Corp.
5975 N. County Road 27
Loveland, Colorado 80538
(970) 663-1920
FAX (970) 663-2315
Divisioh of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman St., Room 213
Denver, CO 80203
Re: Annual Report for Permit Number M-1994-080

Dear Minerals and Geology:
Below is a summary of reclamation efforts over the past year for the above entitled
permit. Also, we respectfully request that we be allowed to correct the annual report
dated October 24, 2002. Personnel responsible for preparing the erroneous report are no
longer employed by Arkins Park Stone.
At the time of the October, 2002 report, minimal mining had taken place in this quarry.
Consequently, no reclamation efforts had been undertaken as had been mistakenly
reported.
The quarry is mined according to demand and has, had intermittent use over the past year.
Fire mitigation has been conducted in the areas surrounding the quarry due to a fire in
previous years. We have re-seeded approximately twelve (12) acres of the area damaged
by the fire. Additionally, much of the undergrowth has been removed and trees have
been trimmed. Lower branches have been removed preparing for a prescribed broadcast
burn. This burn will encourage the growth of existing grasses. The existing areas of
grass that are sparse will be re-seeded. This fire mitigation will continue on in to the
winter of this year. No new areas have been opened for mining and we do not anticipate
opening any new ones.
If you have any questions regarding this report, please do not hesitate to contact me. ,
Sincerely,
e~e
P gu
General Manager
