Lochhead:
i'
Thank you for the above annual reports. They are very good; complete and
descriptive For aZZ areas. A11 of the reports satisfy the requirements of
the law and the following comments are For clarification and informational
purposes only.
Portland Limestone: we are pleased that concurrent reclamation is hein9
conducted wherever possible. [9e would be interested in the results of using
/~ the soil imprinter. On a mine site in Utah, the use of a "v" shaped soil
l imprinter actually accelerated water erosion on the steeper slopes (loamy
t its).
Boettcher Gypsum: Bond is now $38,000.00, with maximum affected acreage of
40 acres.
Slab Canyon Limestone: Bond is now $21,500.00, with maximum affected acreage
of 30 acres.
Boettcher Limestone: The current $317,OD0.00 bond is adequate to cover the
14 acre increase in affected acreage. As the weathered E-band areas did not
have salvageable overburden, what type of growth medium will be used on
these areas for revegetation purposes?
