Tlvs sanie
scenario could he repeated Uie following summer and fall to ensure good control. Grass should
the.u be planted the following spring to compete with the whitetop. If some of the plants are still
alive at this point, they could be treated with a suitable herbicide that will not affect the grass.
Following this recommendation it should be easy for you to get control of the whitetop and
replace it with grass, especially if it is in a relatively small area.
Please see die attached seeding recommendation for a suitable grass seed mia. It is based off of
a 1 acre seeding, however if you need to cover a large area you can just multiply the pomids by
the approximate acreave to get the required amomlt. Be sure to request Pure Live Seed(PLS)
whui ordering the seed.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me~.
Q!llr_PTP,l>_t
~~
%~ -~~
:, =~,.
Ronald Riggenbach
Actnig District Conservationist
Alamos Field Office
RFCEn.~~
~f c ~ 81008
Division of
Mir/~BandSN~yAr1,
The Natural Resources Conservation Service provices leadership in a partnership effort to help people
cansen'e, rnarptam, and rmp~ove cur Itdiuldl resources and ertvl/OnmeOi.
An Equal Oppoinmity Provider and Employer
