1996 Annual Hydrologic Report
• Page 8
slightly from both the Roadside South Portal and the Roadside North Portal. Long term discharge
from the Roadside North will cease upon completion of mining. At the Roadside South, water is
expected to continue to dischazge from 002 beyond closure and flow is expected to increase by the
amount previously dischazged from outfall 001 and the amount previously used for mining and
processing.
There was no delectable effect of mining on flows in Cottonwood and Rapid Creeks. Mining
projections in the Roadside South have been put on hold and dischazges will return to neaz normal
when the panel to the East fill with water and overflow. An increase in inflows is expected as mining
progress west and north in the Roadside North Portal, but is not expected to significantly influence
the flow in the Creeks.
Consumptive water use continued to be closely tied to production and is expected to show similaz
trends in the future.
•
•
