have all been revised to correlate the old site (and map) name to the •
new (Paradox) computer name. The new computer name will be used
throughout the following text.
Technical Revision 52 was approved on May 23, 2005. This revision
discontinued monitoring at Site SW-S2W-SG17 (WSH17, Pond 017 baseline
site), Springs 1, 5 and 45. The monitoring frequency at Site SW-S2W-SG7
(WSH7, mid Hubberson Gulch) was changed from monthly to triannual.
Monitoring at the four GW-S2W-4 series wells and the five W-24 wells
were also discontinued. Monitoring at the seven recently completed W-25
wells was included into the monitoring plan. Finally, the surface and
ground water parameter lists were revised. Details of the changes may
be found on pages 15-3a-2 and 3 of the permit.
After their review of last year's Seneca II-W AHR, the CDMG made several
comments in a l etter dated September 23, 2005. Following is SCC's
response to both items.
1. A request was made to establish ground water points of compliance. .
SCC will attempt to submit such a technical revision in 2006.
2. The new CDPHE ground water standards have been incorporated into this
AHR as requested.
Meteorological Data
Precipitation data is collected from a Belfort Weighing Bucket Rain Gage
situated adjacent to Surface Water Site SW-S2W-FG1. Data for this year
may be found in Table 1. Total monthly precipitation data collected at
this site since Water Year 1990 are presented in Table 2. The Seneca II-
W precipitation gage measured 15.76 inches this year. This value is 1.05
inches (6~) above the 1990-2004 average of 17.71 inches. Temperature,
wind speed, and direction data from the Seneca II-W Meteorologic Station
are presented in Appendix B. Several problems occurred at this station
this year, including missing data and questionable temperature data in
May and August. In order to make up for the data gaps, data from NOAA's •
Hayden Station is also provided in Appendix A.
2
