Mining commenced in Aprilo 1990 on this pit. Aggregates,
Inc. continues to operate the mine as explained in last years
report. we have submitted a Technical Revision to correct the
situation caused when the South Pratte River moved. The T. R.
removed the stages and increased the bond from $14 ,000 to $48 ,006.
This pit HAS NOT been granted a Temporary Cessation and it HAS
operated more than 180 days this year. Please refer to the map
attached for the areas discussed in this report.
we will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report
requirements in Section 2 .4 .1 of the Rules and Regulations.
2 .4 .1
(1) At the current time we have 59.57 acres ± disturbed in the
pit. This entire area was stripped of topsoil and the
topsoil is stockpiled along the south property line and in a
stockpile east of the plant area ( brown ) . Within the
disturbed area, 24 .03 acres ± is plant site and material
stockpiles (yellow) , and 15 .25 acres ± is lake area (dark
blue ) . The remaining 20 .29 acres ± is stripped of topsoil
and is ready to be mined (tan) .
Most of the area now disturbed is within what will become the
lake part of the pit. As mining progresses more lake will be
opened, this will reduce the area above water that will need
reclamation and reduce the exposure to the bond. we have
approximately 35 ,000 YD3 of topsoil stockpiled (green) at the
this time. \
