Straw was <br />applied at a rate of 1 ton/ acre and tacified with a psyllium <br />based tackifier at a rate of 100 lbs/acre mixed with 150 <br />lbs/acre of wood fiber mulch. Due to the steep slopes and <br />lack of access to some area, most of the seeding was done <br />using hydroseeding. A small part of CBA 2 and Topsoil Pile 5 <br />were drill seeded. Seeding of CBA 1 included areas that would <br />not be involved in further borrowing operations. <br />• <br />Hydroseeding on benches 3 and 4 of CRDA 2 and the remainder of <br />CBA 1 was done in December 1994. A small amount of left over <br />Kiwi Green was used with the seed. No fertilizer was used. <br />Straw was blown on the slope at a rate of 1 ton/acre and <br />tackified using a psyllium based tackifier at a rate of 100 <br />lbs/acre mixed with 150 lbs/acre of wood fiber mulch.
