Wainwright:
~~
The Division has reviewed Seneca Coals, Ltd, comprehensive hydrologic
monitoring report for the period September, 1981 through December, 1982.
As a result of the data collected, Seneca Coals, Ltd. has requested a
slight reduction in monitoring (page 68 of the report) as follows:
1) Stop monitoring wells GW-518-P1, GW-S18-P2, and GW-S18-P3.
2) Collect field parameters at pollution plume wells GW-S31A2 and GW-S33
monthly rather than weekly.
3) Measure ground water levels only once in the winter quarter (late
February or early March).
4) Monitor surface water sites SW-S2-1, SW-S2-4, SW-S2-5 and SW-S2-6
only once between November, 1983 and early March, 1984 for flow and
quality.
The proposed reduction in monitoring is reasonable given the analysis of
data within the hydrologic report and the Division approves the reduction
request.
Sincerely,
Sandra Emri~
Reclamation pecialist
SE/ep
cc: Mr. Floyd Johnson
Mr. Norm Nielson
Uoc.
