Twentymile Coal Company has
submitted its first required semi-annual subsidence monitoring report for the
Foidel underground coal mine. Mining has not yet approached close enough to
the subsidence monuments ad3oining the Foidel Creek to influence those
monuments. In addition, mining has not advanced close enough to any of the
alluvial or overburden aquifer monitoring wells to cause any observable
hydrologic influences. The company's appropriate conclusion is that no
surface structures have been impacted by mining and that no material damage
has taken place to date.
I recommend acceptance of the Twentymile Coal Company's, Fall - 1983
Subsidence Monitoring Report, as submitted.
/cd
cc: Ed Bischoff
Doc. 0458E
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
