Cebhart
Senior Planner
E1 Faso County
Land Use Department
27 East Vermijo Ave.
Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903 ,~,~,go -~ $~
Dear Mark:
Please accept this letter of intent, for the continued use
of our above the ground mineral extraction operation. As you
know we have purchased about 500 acres here at Midway, and we
hope we have about 10 years or more of mineral extraction.
I have made several tests on several sections of the land
and found in some sections we have good material for a depth
of 60 feet or more.
rJe have been mining for about 2 years now, and have been
finding more material all the time.
Our operation includes screening material for road base,
and :asphalt material, and crushing road base. As you know Colorado
Sprilzgs and the county of E1 Paso uses a great number of tons
of t}1is material every year, and we feel, by the County granting
us permission to continue this operation, will greatly help
not only the city and county, but also the private business.
Trusting this letter of intent meets with your approval,
I remain.
Sincerely,
~7 `I /
Donald S. Hellmann
