Nottingham received
last week, together with his check to cover the annual fees
on each of the above pits . This is the second year that he
has received the notice on the Eagle Pit (78-352) in April .
The permit shows an anniversary date of August 14 , and we
should appreciate your getting this changed on your records .
As you know, we have been trying to get the paperwork on
both of these pits in a good current posture. I have tried
to indicate in the "Remarks" space on the forms what the
problems have been, but in case those have to go to someone
who is not familiar with the situation, we should appreciate
your letting them know that we have stayed in touch with you
about both permits .
1 do have a new plat on the Eagle Pit that has been approved
by the Eagle County Commissioners in connection with the
problems pressed by Chester Goldman regarding our Special
Use Permit. As I mentioned to you earlier, this plat has
not changed in regard to acreage or boundaries , but the
phasing system we initially formulated has turned out to be
unworkable because of an enormous misunderstanding as to
where those phases fell on the actual ground. The mis-
understanding virtually eliminates the timetables originally
planned on the reclamation phases . However, the map showing
the configuration of the final reclamation is not changed;
