'~ _
• The following table summarizes potentiometric water level data from ground
surface for monitoring wells immediately down-dip of solution mining activity:
4/90
Prior to
A uifer Pumoaae
Dissolution Surface 459'
B-Groove 449'
Max. Change (10190) Status 110191)
During Heavy Pumoaae Following Shutdown
insignificant +1, insignificant (458')
-13' (462') -6', (455')
A-Groove 445' -30' (475') -4', 1459')
Perched 310' insignificant +2, insignificant (308')
In summary, no significant change in level was noted in Perched or Dissolution
Surface aquifers from pumpage or mining activity. A direct correlation is noted
between pumpage and levels reported for the A-Groove. The pumpage effect on
the B-Groove is less than for the A-Groove, but notable. After decreased pumpage
following temporary suspension of activities, the A-Groove recovered significantly
and the B-Groove recovered more slowly.
Dedicated Monitoring Wells Un-Gradient
Wells established to monitor up-gradient conditions are:
Wells
Na26-IRI-1
Na26-90-2
Na26-90-3
Na26-90-4
A uif r
Perched
Dissolution
B-Groove
A-Groove

57
