Based on perennial vegetation, which is an <br />indicator of long term precipitation, the normal precipitation for the NaTec site is <br />11-14 inches/year. Precipitation for 1991 was apparently lower than normal for <br />approximately the fourth year in a row, based on conversation with local sources. <br />See Figure 6-1 for illustration of 1990 (started 4/18/90) and 1991 data. <br />48 <br />
