Operation continued as approved in the July, 1985 Amendment. This is a quarry operation so we remove large amounts of material without disturbing large amount of land. Please refer to the Annual Report map for the locations of areas discussed in this report. we will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report questions as outlined in Section 2.41 of the Rules and Regulations. 2.41 (1) No new land was disturbed this year mining continued in the area previously disturbed. We currently have 4.70 acres ± stripped (brown). We increased the mined area by 1.10 acres ± (yellow) bringing the total area being mined to 2.39 acres ± Total disturbance to date in Stage 1 is 10.77 acres ±. Backfilling began in the upper part of Stage 1 as approved. Stages X and Y are still in use; with backfilling in Stage X still continuing. Storage of growth medium continued on Stage A this year. (2) No reclamation was required during this time period. (3) Backfilling is the only reclamation performed. Partial backfilling has continued in Stages X and Z. Backfilling started this year in Stage 1 as approved (blue). (4) Not applicable. (5) Not applicable. (6) The backfilling has been successful.
