Box 161
Silt, Colorado 81652
RE: Annual Hydrologic Repent for 1986, C-84-063
Dear Ms. Limbach:
I have reviewed the annual hydrologic report (AHR) submitted for 1986. All
the data is well presented.
After comparing 1984 data to 1986 data, there is no detectable change in water
quality through this time. Also, there is little significant difference in
the upstream and downstream sampling stations on Harvey Gap. This lack of
impact from the mine is not unexpected, due to the lack of discharge from the
settling pond that receives the mine discharge.
Eastside should clarify in the AHR that no discharge has occurred from the
NPDES site. Also, the AHR states that the pressure in wells 0.5 and 1.5
decreased in 1986. Could you please clarify how the pressure is determined,
and if applicable, submit there figures.
Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely, i
~- ~i`~
~~~~~
Candace M.
