The
relative location of the mine workings and subsidence monitoring lines is shown on the
attached plan.
2.0 MONITORING SCHEDULE
Surveys were conducted on March 13, 1996 and on June 29, 1996 for the first two quarters
3.0 MINING ADVANCE
There was no mining during the period covered by this report and there has been no mining
since August of 1995.
4.0 SUBSIDENCE RESULTS
The results of the surveys are shown in the attached tables and figures. Because of ground
swell due to temperature and moisture variations, and surveying inaccuracies, changes in
elevation of less than 0.1 ft are not considered to be significant. The table below contains
maximum total subsidence, maximum subsidence during the reporting period, and the number
of months since any movement was measured on each of the monitoring lines.
Monitoring Line Maximum Maximum Number of Months
Subsidence To Date Subsidence in Since Significant
(ft) Reporting Period Movement
A 7.4 0 18
B 7.5 0 18
C 4.4 0 48
D 9.8 0 48
J 9.7 0 48
S 10.0 0 72
N 0 0 Note 1
H 0.2 0 Note 1
Note 1: There has been no significant movement over these monitoring lines.
5.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
It is recommended that no further monitoring be conducted on Monitoring Lines A, B, C, D, and
S. In addition, it is recommended that monitoring be suspended on Monitoring Line J and
Points H1 - H3 and N1 - N3, until mining resumes.
