D2p1. 01 h!atnf2l R?50"rCac <br />This report is suksnitted to bring the Division up to date as to the mining and <br />reclamation performed on the site to date. <br />1. Gravel was extracted fran approximately 5 acres in the southern <br />portion of Parcel B. Approximately 13 acres of the eastern portion <br />of Parcel D was utilized for access road, office and shop building, <br />crasher, gravel feedstock, crushed material stockpile and top soil <br />stockpile. <br />2. Reclamation for the year was limited to the planting of trees on <br />two acres in Parcel B in the 100 foot setback from the river. <br />3. Mulching and watering is in progress on this 2 acres in the 100 <br />foot setback. <br />4. Ztaenty three young cottonwood trees, 12 to 18 feet in height, were <br />transplanted April 5, 1983 in the 100 foot setback area along the <br />river. We are awaiting delivery of one hundred bare-root oottonwvod <br />seedlings to be planted in this same area. We anticipate that all <br />tree planting should be oce~q~lete by the first of May 1983. <br />5. We anticipate using approximately 2 tons of alfalfa hay mulch in <br />conjunction with the planting of seedlings. <br />6. We anticipate a 508 survival rate with the seedlings. <br />7. We anticipate extending the present limits of extraction to include <br />approximately 3 acres in the southern portion of Parcel C. <br />~~~• Richard E. White, President <br />
