Box 1488 <br />Paonia, Colorado 81428 <br />RE: Subsidence Survey <br />Bowie No. 1 Mine <br />Account # 9808 <br /> <br />In June of 1999 Cragg Surveying conducted the subsidence survey for the Bowie #1 Mine. <br />This survey is based on control monuments established by Colorado Westmoreland, Inc, <br />and later Cypress Coal. They have been in place for several years. The monuments are <br />4 inch iron pipes with a faced plate which allows the total station to be placed directly on <br />top of the monument. Westmoreland and Cypress <br />surveyors up through September of 1994. Ute Engineering and Surveying from June, 1995 <br />through November of 1997. Currently Cragg Surveying is now pertorning the surveys. <br />A listing of the subsidence stations currently in the monitoring program, with coordinate values are <br />shown here in the following tables.
