r~ <br />u <br />• Seeding and Shrub Planting <br />A total of 182.0 acres were seeded/planted in 2006. Of that, 10.7 acres were aewly established shrub <br />plots. The area was seeded using Seed Mix #lA (see Table 06.2, Seed Mix #IA, for constituents). <br />Concentrated shmb seeding was conducted in the areas where the seedling shrubs were planted. <br />Sbrub Plota. Approximately 50,588 seedlings, 1,900 one gallon sized shrubs and 500 transplanted <br />aspens were planted at Yoast The shmb plot locations ate shown on the attached 2006 Reclamation <br />Map. The 2006 Annual Revegetation Monitoring report is submitted as a separate <br />document <br />• Weed Conttoi <br />Survey for noxious weeds was carried out on the Yoast Mine permit area in 2006. Monitoring was <br />conducted in 2006 to determine the need or level of retreatment necessary for areas sprayed in 2005. <br />• Canada thistle was the primary target species in all control areas, with lesser activity duetted towards <br />areas of hounds tongue and whitetop. Control areas were sprayed in June, July and September. A <br />spot spray gun was used to concentrate control actlviHes on tazget azeas, reducing potential impacts to <br />
