�WG Westerns II I I II I II I II IIII III � C Mobile 999 JAFARGE ATTACHMENT FOR SUBMITTALS TO GOVERNMENT AGENCIES The Western Mobile organization consists of numerous corporations. Each of these corporations is a separate legal entity with permits, contracts, employees etc. in its own name and which pays taxes under its own tax identification number. The following are some of the names that have referred to the Western Mobile companies in the past: Broderick and Gibbons, Inc. Mineral Reserves, Inc. Mobile Premix, Inc. Mobile Premix Concrete, Inc. Western Mobile Boulder, Inc. Western Mobile Denver Western Mobile Northern, Inc. Western Mobile Southern, Inc. Western Paving Construction Company Lafarge Corporation finalized the acquisition of Western Mobile and its subsidiaries, effective June 4, 1998. In the near future, you will begin to hear and see the Lafarge name via our phone messages, letterhead, signs, correspondence, at our sites, and on our company trucks and equipment. Over the next six months, Lafarge will determine how the corporate structure will be changed, perhaps by merging some of the corporations together and/or merging one or more of them into Lafarge Corporation. In this interim period before the corporate organizational structure is determined, each of the Western Mobile corporations has been advised by the Lafarge Legal Department to represent itself in the following manner: 1. For purposes of business identity The Western Mobile corporations should continue using their existing federal tax identification numbers and should be identified as Western Mobile (Northern, Southern, etc.) doing business as (d/b/a) Lafarge. The Western Mobile corporations will be using the "Lafarge"tradename, but not the "Lafarge Corporation" legal entity identification. 2. For purposes of identifying corporate ownership If a permit or a contract requires that the regulatory authority or other party be notified as to a change in control of the corporation, Western Mobile should now be identified as being owned by Lafarge Corporation, not Redland PLC. We are the same faces with a new company name. Please do not hesitate to call with any questions.
