WATER RESOURCES DEPARTMENT
sss
March 6, 1995
SPRINGS UTILITIES
Mr. Michael B. Long
Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Dear Mr. Long:
Re: M-92-074, Hamra Ranch Gravel Pit No. 2
RECEIVED
~ 0 8 1995
Division of lnrnerals & Ueology
The City of Colorado Springs herein submits the annual report, on your standard form, for the
Hanna Ranch Gravel Pit No. 2 in accordance with Rule 2.4 of Rules and Regulations of the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for l 12 Permits. We have included an updated copy of
our Mining Plan map showing the limits of activity thus far. The annual fee of $550.00 is
enclosed.
As is shown on our map, the topsoil stockpile area and the affected area have exceeded the permit
boundary at two areas adjacent to the southwest portion of the site. The affected area exceeds the
limits by about .96 acres. We will be requesting a technical revision for this at the March
meeting of the Board.
During the second year of operation, 7.63 acres have been affected. Now that we have exceeded 5
acres of affected area, reclamation of the mined areas will begin. We hope that the enclosed report
and map meet your requirements. Please don't hesitate to call me if there are any questions at
(719) 636-5630.
Sincerely,
Peter C. Eisele
Supv.
