Dear Ms. Morrison:
Enclosed please find three (3) copies of the 1992
Annual Hydrology Report for the Seneca II Mine.
• This report contains a compilation and analysis of
all hydrologic data collected during the period
extending from October 1, 1991 through September
30, 1992. Four (4) copies of this report were also
forwarded to the Office of Surface Mining
Reclamation and Enforcement to the attention of
Rick Holbrook (Western Field Office - Denver) .and
one (1) copy was sent to Donna Griffin (Albuquerque
Field Office).
The ground and surface water quality statistical
summaries should be reviewed with caution. Those
'parameters which have censored values associated
with the data set (i.e., some of the trace
elements) cannot be correctly analyzed
statistically in Peabody's current database, and
summary statistics for these should be disregarded.
When reviewing these data, the reader should refer
directly to the individual water quality analyses
for determining which values are above or below the
detection limit. Peabody is developing a
statistical algorithm for the water quality
database to address censored data sets.
