The sand and gravel extracted from the lake was hauled to the Mesa Pit
for processing.
The Animas River flows that occurred during the spring run-off of 2005 were greater than any
recorded since the construction of the bank stabilization system in the winter of 2003. The
stronger currents succeeded in partially undermining a portion of the blocks, but the cable lacing
held the concrete blocks together, as it was designed to do. Repair of the damage will be
accomplished during the coming winter when crews are mobilized to complete the mining of the
lake.
The $688.00 Annual Fee was mailed to your office on OS July 2005. This letter and the attached
map are submitted as fulfillment of our reporting obligations for the yeaz that began 28 July
2004.
Sincerely,

Marcia L.
