11(cont)
in a large pile for processing later. Mining will continue
in the stripped area along the south side of the mine area.
The berm material placed along County Road 335 remains
unchanged (blue). Once complete this berm will be
revegetated and will remain when mining ends. The sloping
along the mine face was completed this year so it covers 0.87
acres and the 0.99 triangular area east of the farm road was
resoiled with left over material from the topsoil berms
stored along the top of the slope. The slope area was
reduced this year because of the changes we made to the mine
face. Topsoil/growth medium is stored on the site for use
when reclamation begins.
BOND REVIEW:
The bond is currently set at $17,300 for disturbance on the
entire area. This bond was revaluated in 2003 by the
Division to determine if it was adequate. Mr. Russ Means
indicated that since the sloping was complete the amount held
by the Division was sufficient to complete reclamation.
