<br />1995 ANNUAL RECLAMATION REPORT SENECA II MINE <br />Digital Submission of 1995 Annual Reclamation Report <br />Seneca Coal Company, in cooperation with [he Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, <br />submits the Seneca II 1995 Annual Reclamation Report with maps and files on floppy disc. <br />The narrative portion is a Microsoft word Version 6.0 Eile--SEN2-95.doc. Exhibits 95.1, <br />95.2, 95.4a, 95.5 are AutoCad Version 12 thawing files. The scale for the drawing files is <br />1 inch = 400 feet. <br />1995 Disturbance Area <br />The 1995 Annual Reclamation Report, Exhibit 9-3a, shows the limits of disturbance as of <br />December 31, 1995. This line generally depicts areas of soil removal ahead of mining. <br />Actual disturbance ahead of mining Eor 1995 was 2.7 acres in the Woif Creek mining area and <br />1.3 acres in the Wadge mining area. (see Exhibit 95.1 Topsoil Removal) <br /> eackf filling and Grading <br /> <br /> The 1995 Annual Reclama tion Report, Exhibit 95.2, shows the areas that were graded during <br /> 1995 . There were 10.9 acres graded in the Wol£ Creek mining area and 15 .4 acres graded in <br /> the Wadge mining area, Auger Area "E". Existing topography contours for the Wadge and <br /> WolF Creek Mining areas are shown on Exhibit 95.5. <br />Soil and spoil Monitoring <br />Seneca Coal Company (SCC1 is required by Permit C-80-005 to monitor the salvage, storage, <br />and redlstrlbu t.ton of Soil and Spoil handling operations at Seneca II Mine. Specific <br />programs include documenting soil recovery, verifying soil redistribution thickness, <br />determining final graded spoil quality, determining soil fertility, evaluating plant <br />rooting characteristics, recording the source of replaced soil, and completing an annual <br />soil balance. The following sections present [he soil and spoil monitoring data for the <br />1995 calendar year. <br />Soil Recovery Documentation <br />Soil recovery limits and depth were not recorded in 1995 due to the limited amount of <br />topsoil removed. <br />
