No changes in the USFS Water Re-
sources Map are necessary for. 1991 becatue no
new rights were filed for or new uses made in 1991
in the lease area.
Seasotal (three times per year) water samples were
taken at all sur[ace water monitoring stations
except the USGS North Fork station. Measured
parameters included pH, conductivity, temperature,
total dissolved solids, total suspended solids, total
iron, and total manganese. Sampling results are
summarized in Appendix D. Minimum and maxi-
mum information Cor the bazeline monitoring
period is compared with water year 1991 data for
the Sylvester Gulch and North Fork Upper sta-
tions in Appendix B.
Spring Water Monitoring
Seven springs were monitored during the 1991
water year (Table 2). Their loptions are shown on
Exhibit I. All known springs in the lease area are
shown on Map 36 in Volume 5 of the M and R
Plan.
In accordance with U.S. Forest Service (USE'S)
stipulations, a map of USFS water resources haz
been included az Exhibit IV. Table 3 summarizes
Seasonal measurements (three times per year) of
pH, conductivity, temperature, total dissolved
solids, total suspended solids, total iron, and total
manganese were taken at each of the seven springs.
Measured flows, field parameters, and the results
of laboratory analyses are presented in
Appendu F. Maximum and minimum comparisons
are presented in Appendix E. Bar graphs depicting
spring flows from 1979 to the present have been
included az Appendix G.
Of the seven springs, only springs G-14, G-16,
G-20, and G-24 were sampled during 1991. Flows
at the other three springs were either nonexistent
or insufficient for sampling during all three sam-
pling periods. Consequently, water quality data are
available only for springs G-14, G-16, G-20, and
G-24.
Groundwater Monitoring
7Wenty-three wells were monitored during the
1991 water year (Table 4).
