SHELTON, Director <br />July 3, 1986 <br />Gregg Squire <br />Dale Plumc~~ <br />TWIN PINES MINE REQUEST FOR REDUCTION IN MONITORING <br />I believe it would be acceptable to eliminate the Caldirola No. 2 Well from <br />the full-suite monitoring program requirement, as sufficient baseline water <br />quality data have been collected over the 1983-86 monitoring period. However, <br />I feel that keeping Well No. TP-W1 as a monitoring point would be in the best <br />interest of all concerned. Also, some reduction in the number of water <br />quality parameters currently being tested for in the TP-W1 Well may be <br />appropriate (adjusted full-suite) since these parameters were not indicated in <br />sufficient quantities during the baseline monitoring period to warrant concern. <br />The parameters to retain are as follows: <br />1. pH <br />2.
