0 0 <br /> Permittee Name: Albert Frei and Sons, Inc Page 2 <br /> Permit No: M-83-33 <br /> Operation Name: Walstrum Mine <br /> Anniversary Date: 06 / 23 / 93 <br /> We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report <br /> questions as outlined in Section 2 .4 . 1 of the Rules and Regula- <br /> tions. <br /> 2 . 4 . 1 <br /> (1) No new land was disturbed this year, mining continued in the <br /> area previously stripped in Phase I. Total disturbance to <br /> date in Stage I is 21. 73 acres ±. The floor area increased by <br /> 5.24 acres ± as the face of the mine moved into the stripped <br /> area. The current face area is approximately 6. 00 acres ±. <br /> Stage Z is being used as a temporary surge pile stockpile area <br /> for contracted material. Total disturbance is 25. 78 acres ± <br /> including Stage I, and Phases A, X, Y, and Z . <br /> (2) No reclamation was required this year. The initial grading <br /> around the buildings is complete in Phase Y. Minor amounts of <br /> backfill were placed in the valley on the eastern side of <br /> Phase I as approved. Stage X has been graded and shaped and <br /> work on Stage A is complete. The table below outlines the <br /> various stages of reclamation at the pit. <br /> DESCRIPTION ACRES <br /> Backfilled 2 . 63 <br /> Graded 5. 42 <br /> Floor area 12 . 00 <br /> Undisturbed 100. 10 <br /> (3) Mining will continue into the area previously disturbed. The <br /> mine face will continue to move to the east towards the east <br /> Affected Lands line, as approved. An additional 10. 00 acres <br /> ± may be stripped this year as the face moves east. In addi- <br /> tion, we may begin to shape the top of the area between the <br /> road and the mine area, above 7400 feet, this amounts to 1 . 35 <br /> ac. ±. Backfilling will continue in Phase I as needed. <br /> (4) Use of Phase Z will be completed this year and the area will <br /> be graded and prepared for revegetation next spring. No other <br /> reclamation is called for at this time. As part of the <br /> approved T.R. the stages outside the main quarry will be <br /> completed and returned to their end uses. <br />
